New Years Race for the Winter Endurance Championship 2014-2015 race 2

For a few years now, the DNRT is organizing a Winter Endurance Championship for a big variety of Touring Cars.

Here is a small report of the second race of the season held on January 3th 2015. For some teams it was a final practice before the 24hrs of Dubai to be held next week.

It was rather cold and wet with quit a lot of tail wind for the drivers on the Zandvoort straight, nevertheless a fair amount of drivers and spectators visited the track.

I just shot some photos in the pits and of the starting grid.

Here you can see the BMW M3 driven by the duo Lanting-Herber practicing a pitstop. The mechanic sure has a difficult task to keep pressure on the outlet system of the fuel rig.

The 4hr race started around 3 o'clock. With the finish at 7 o' clock in the evening a sufficiant amount of light on the cars brought out some special solutions.

Alltough not one of the fastest cars on the track, the colorscheme of this BMW M3 is quite amazing.

And a final photo of the starting grid before the race.
