Spa Classic 2016

Wow, what a great saturday my cousin and I spent at the Spa Classic 2016.

The cold wind was a good incentive for us, to do a walk along the track.

Back at the paddock there is so much to see every year. Interesting cars, well dressed people. And lots of stands to spent your money on rather exentric apparel.

No sun, doesn't mean, no colorfull photos:

There are always friends to support the drivers before they go on track.

This year I also added a theme to my photos: Tyres seen from front or back.

And there is all in all so much to see. A day is just to short. Every car in the paddock is overloaded with beautiful details. How many photos to upload?

FIA WEC Spa 2016

The race at Spa for the Le Mans Cars is the last race for the teams to prepare for the 24hrs of Le Mans.

This year the race was held in sunny conditions with temperatures rising to 25degrees celsius.

I bought my tickets in advance including a parking ticket. The parking was located at the far side of the track, but the organisation offered a shuttle bus to the paddock entry.

Like always, I arrived way to early. So made a nice walk through the paddock

 up to  Kemmel straight. And placed my new seat at the end of Kemmel at the Sses of Les Combes.

In the small video you see the first group of cars at lap 2 of the 6 hours race. Two cars pushing each other in a spin with luckily minor consequences.

Thanks to the safetycar, I was able to make a few photos of some of the beautiful cars.

A great day after a long winter sleep. Next week it's Spa again!
